Scope: Lobby great room and Glow Lounge renovation
Timeline: Dec. 2014-March. 2015
Team Role: Senior Designer/Project Manager, development of concept, presentations and all documentation for concept through construction administration

A contemporary update to the existing lobby, outdoor restaurant/nightclub Sinder Lounge, and conversion of the three-meal restaurant into the “Rec Room”. The “Rec Room” included games and a screening room with large group capabilities. The interior was inspired by a beach bonfire and includes subtle elements of fire, water, and deep charcoal tone woods.

Host Hotels and Resorts lead renovation of the lobby and grand Porte cohere. The traditional aesthetic of the Ritz Carlton Brand was re-energized in a contemporary take on an elegant interior. Attended site walks, construction punch lists and coordination for installation as well. The concept was inspired by the colors of the sea creatures in the marina with jewel tones of greens, blues, amber, and a central feature chandelier.
Accolades:
The feature chandelier was promoted by Alger-Triton in 2012 for marketing material and in magazines.

Complete remodel of the public spaces which created a space that was uniquely Portland. Local vendors were utilized to give guests the experience that they all know and love about Oregon. The remodel was one of the first property to roll out the Marriott Great room Prototype which turned the lobby to an activated space that guests love to hang out in. Attended site walks, construction punch lists, accessorized the lobby and provided coordination for installation as well.
